Born on September 29, in Richmond, Virginia, but raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, SIR CHARLES discovered his passion for music and dance when he joined his elementary school marching band in the second grade, mastering the trombone and achieving drum major. Following his love of music, he also joined the choirs in both school and church.
Throughout high school, Charles honed his stage performance skills in the Broward County Boys & Girls Club creative arts unit, taking lead roles in musicals and plays. Mixing martial arts, breaking, and Miami’s energetic style of dance, he undoubtedly became a top freestyler, dancer, and choreographer in Broward County. At age 17, he auditioned for American Idol, making it to the final day of hell week, just missing the Top 30. Facing homelessness, Sir Charles took a scholarship to the FAU music program, only to transfer to Virginia State University’s prestigious music program after just one year, preferably to attend an HBCU. Shortly after leading his marching band and school dance team to multiple victories, he gave up his scholarship and moved to Los Angeles to follow his dream of becoming a world renowned entertainer.
He has taught at nationally and internationally acclaimed studios, and currently teaches at the best dance studio’s in LA. In addition to choreographing and dancing with major recording artists like Justin Bieber, Cody Simpson, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Beyonce, Will.I.AM,
Ke$ha, Tony Braxton, Shakira, Usher, Adam LeVine and more, Sir C can also be seen as a regular on popular shows like Disney’s “Shake It Up” and “Victorious.”
He also just recently wrapped the movie “Gangster Squad.” After prominently establishing himself in the professional dance community, Sir Charles is currently focusing on his musical endeavors and recording his up and coming EP. His latest music videos include “Soulja” and “Problem Child” which can be found on YouTube. Sir C is enjoying sharing his uptempo, club bangin, dance music with the world and is excited for the journey on his path to a bright future in music and dance.
