
Rachel Erin Truitt
Currently Rachel is both dancing and choreographing for The Movement and INduztry Talent Agency. In 2007 Rachel studied dance at KSU. From 2009-2011 Rachel was a member of Georgia Dance Theater, performing ballets including Coppelia, Peter Pan, Nutcracker and West Side Story She also choreographed contemporary works “Broken Dolls” and “Roads.” While on staff at Gotta Dance, Rachel has presented work for their “Passion to Dance” choreography showcase. She was also featured in Dance101’s Show at the Alliance Theater “Koru” under the direction of Bubba Carr. She was a guest artist for Tish (NYU) master program end of the year showcase. Rachel was honored to be asked to perform at the 2009 Dance Canvas choreography by Lonnie Davis.
Her commercial experience includes featured performer for Super Bowl XXXlV 2000 Halftime show produced by Disney. Falcons Halftime shows 2010, 2011 and 2012 produced by Georgia Lottery. Dancer for ESPN Commercial featuring Charles Barkley. Featured Dancer and Assistant to the Choreographer Jamie Parrish for Vampire Diaries on the CW in 2011 and Head Choreographer for the Vampire Diaries on the CW in 2012. Rachel was also selected to body double for the movie “Scary Movie 5.” She was also Featured Choreographer at the 6th annual Destined to Dance Awards.
Rachel was selected to perform at the GA Dome under the direction of Cici Kelly for 2012 GA Lottery Halftime show. Her work with Impact’s Conservatory Program was honored and placed at the Youth American Grande Prix three years straight. Rachel was also choreographer and artistic director for 2012’s “Remove the Ego” at King Plow Arts Center. She was Artistic Director and Choreographer for “In Regard” Contemporary showcase in 2012. She is also featured choreographer for “Phazes of Love” 2013.
Rachel is now Founder and Creative Director for Gotta Dance Contemporary, her creation of SURFACE world premiered at Westside Cultural Arts Center in the winter of 2015. This work also featured music by recording artist Prisca and cello quartet Atlanta Celli.
