Detroit native Gary Beauford trained in the Washington, D.C. area, where he was a company dancer, choreographer & captain for the award-winning Culture Shock D.C. dance troupe for 5 ½ years (04-09).
His extensive performance background includes Sharaya J/ Missy Elliott, Jaicko, Jarvis, Mya, Rihanna, Austin Mahone, Musiq SoulChild/The Husel, Keith Sweat, AZ Yet, Twin Towers & Marcus Canty. He has trained/work with Lyle Beniga, Luam, Tony Czar, Kiki Ely, Sakinah LeStage, Tricia Miranda, Sean Bankhead, Nick Demoura, Tanisha Scott, Codie Wiggins, Chuck Maldonado, Hollywood & many other accomplished choreographers & instructors.
Gary was a dancer in Rihanna’s music video “Whats My Name” in Sept 2010. In 2011 & 2012, Gary had the opportunity to tour with the nationally known UniverSoul Circus. While touring with the Universoul Circus he not only danced but he also hosted the nationally known tour. In 2013 Gary was booked as a dancer for Austin Mahone’s music video “What About Love”, In June 2014 Gary was booked as a dancer for Missy Elliott’s artist Sharaya J for her music video “Taking It No More/ Shut It Down” choreographed by Tricia Miranda.
Gary has just finished shooting 2 feature films “Bolden” choreographed by CiCi Kelley & Bubba Carr, Alvin & The Chipmunks 4 Road Trip choreographed by Rich & Tone, He also assisted with choreography & danced on Musiq Soulchild’s new project called The Husel.
Gary is now head choreographer for 90’s R&B sensation Keith Sweat & AZ Yet, Gary continues to teach & train dancers in his smooth style of choreography & around the world.
